Instrument Adjusting

Activator Method

This is a technique that utilizes leg length analysis as part of the assessment process and provides adjustments using a hand-held, spring-loaded instrument that delivers a low force impulse to a targeted area. This technique is often considered more gentle than manual adjustments as it does not involve any bending or twisting. The Activator Method has many clinical trials that support it as being safe and effective. Two specific reasons are:

  1. Due to the rapid impulse, the overlying muscles are not able to tense and resist the treatment.
  2. Force settings are predetermined on the instrument for full control of amplitude.

Dr. Cole Simpson is certified in Activator Method instrument adjusting.
